put it into you're dictionary
"Kidding on the square" meaning to joke but at the same time be serious, much like the phrase "many a true word is said in jest" though not quite the same serious not being the same thing as true.

...so what is "kidding cubed?"
Oh thanks, I will keep that... "Kidding on the square"--yeah I do that a lot. Good phrase to know when out of the states, like "out for a ball of chalk" and "apples and pears." My husband taught me those.
BTW-- I think God ate me already... that's why I'm "eccentrically meshugunah" (Yahoo or MSN search--be sure of the spelling--all you find is me. The wonderful thing about Tiggers is...I'm the only one!!)
Save God could be this big whale, you know, that swallows you for a few days and spits you back on dry ground all seaweedy and smelly next to a kind, smiling soul waiting on the beach who helps you get cleaned up again... and the experience makes you stronger. ("If it doesn't kill you, it only makes you...well you know.") ^..^
"("If it doesn't kill you, it only makes you...well you know.") ^..^"
its interesting thats actually a quote from nietszche he of "god is dead" fame.
"Save God could be this big whale,"
thats could be clasified as an heretical interpretation of the story of jonah and the whale
"Good phrase to know when out of the states, like "out for a ball of chalk" and "apples and pears""
a nother good one is what the hell are you talking about apples and pairs stairs i know that one but out for a ball of chalk i've never heard that one before and i've certainly never used it.
"...so what is "kidding cubed?""
it could mean kiding but being really really serious as opposed to just being serious or it could mean a joke that has six different meanings.
"its interesting that's actually a quote from nietszche he of "god is dead" fame."
Oh... so...still true. I just heard it quoted by folks who don't do credits... Last time I heard the quote without author was on this American TV series "Forever Knight," a darkly haunting drama of soul conflict way better than Angel.
"that could be clasified as an heretical interpretation of the story of jonah and the whale."
Sue me... or commit me... they don't burn comedians at the stake anymore.. and I like tomatoes. know any good recipes with tomatoes?
Out for a ball of chalk--- walk.
My husband is from Sussex... I know that's a county not a town...
I've been to Windsor, Eastbourne, Alfriston, Ruislip, Uxbridge, Seaford and the Seven Sisters... big pebbles of black and white rocks. Kinda hard to walk on barefoot, but wonderful wetness for a middle of the plains Kansas born kid.
My husband is related to the guy who engineered the long walk at Windsor castle.
^..^
But I missed the ferry to France... Plan on going next time. I need the experience of going to the American Embassy in Paris for a novel I'm writing.
My husband's mother's family escaped France before WWII to flee the Blackshirts and thus escaped the Holocaust. Me, I have an unknown relative that didn't escape Auschwitz... Prisoner 26947 (Witnesses to War by Michael Leapman).
You're fun to talk to. Katie.
By the Way- One of my favorite artists is Tomie dePaola who did the illustrations for "Who's A Friend of the Water Spurting Whale?" (dePaola does kid's books.)
Let me know if you have any good tomato recipes... honest. You like weird food combinations. So do I. ^..^
I don't like like tamatos but try getting baby tamatos and injecting them with vodka
as for neitszche it is a tribute to his influence that so many of his phrases are in common usage and it is tribute to the fact that people don't read enough that most don't know where they come from.
"You're fun to talk to"
i don't clasify this as talking responses are too removed from each other if you want to talk just e-mail me.
